Description

We are seeking a Controller to join our team based in Spring, Texas. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing our financial operations and ensuring our financial compliance. This position involves overseeing all accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing and managing all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities

• Preparing accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

• Analyzing financial data and providing insights for management decision-making

• Developing and maintaining financial models for forecasting and budgeting purposes

• Ensuring compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and internal policies

• Managing month-end and year-end close processes

• Collaborating with department heads to develop annual budgets and forecasts

• Monitoring and analyzing budget variances and providing recommendations for cost control and optimization

• Establishing and maintaining effective internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial records

• Conducting periodic audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures

• Managing cash flow and liquidity by forecasting cash needs and optimizing cash resources

• Coordinating with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations

• Conducting financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role or related field.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Auditing, Budget Processes, and Lease Accounting.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required, Master's degree is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Proven leadership and management skills.

• Strong understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns.

• Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is preferred.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.

• Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.
