Per the California statute, the estimated range of compensation for this job in that location , at the time of this posting, is $100,000-$145,000. This position may be eligible for incentive pay, for openings where this is applicable.

This position will be part of the HP Workforce Services and Solutions organization with a focus on cloud offerings for Enterprise customers. The Cloud Solutions Architect will design private and multi-tenant cloud systems with the goal to deliver a range of workflow and print applications, as well as system management tools under a service agreement to customers. Having a deep technical expertise in cloud and security technologies, the architect will collaborate with sales teams worldwide to provide a superior value proposition to HP clients who want to outsource their application server environment and its management.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Understand client’s IT requirements for outsourcing applications, as well as implications for storage, networking, failover processes, security controls etc.

  • Collaborate with other architects, internal and external partners to integrate the HP applications on the cloud systems using AWS and Azure technologies.

  • Create test plans to ensure performance and security requirements are met.

  • Design with security in mind: work with the HP cyber security team and assess/optimize security controls.

  • Provide technical consulting during the presales phase of complex client engagements. Work with the HP account team to present and demonstrate the proposed cloud-based system to technical stakeholders.

  • Ensure successful deployment and system integration with the client environment through internal and external partners.

  • Become a trusted advisor for HP sales and cloud solutions teams, sharing best practices and learnings.

  • Create and deliver advanced technical trainings to the technical members of the HP sales force.

  • Develop tools, review documentation and maintain repeatable processes to allow rapid deployments and support the achievement of external security certifications.

Education and Experience Required

  • College degree or equivalent in computer science, information technology, engineering or related field

  • Solution Architect certifications for AWS or Azure, preferably both

  • 2+ years real world experience designing and deploying cloud infrastructure, including network and service deployments

  • IT and Cloud Security expertise and relevant certifications from Azure, AWS or other

  • Desired experience in cloud deployment automation

  • Desired experience with ITIL & Agile Project management

  • Desired experience with server-based business applications or system management tools

  • Desired experience with enterprise print & scan applications
