Position Summary:
The Application Engineer is responsible for offering technical assistance to current and potential customers concerning both new and existing parts. This position is also responsible for assisting the
Primary Responsibilities: Coordinates projects, initiates ECN's, assists with implementation of both new and existing product launches. Responsible for maintaining, training and uploading of OEE database. Provides support to production employees concerning daily production issues. Assists production employees and quality technicians with quality issues as needed. Communicates regularly with management and production employees. Participates in lean and continuous improvement projects including 6S auditing, kaizens, etc. Creates work instructions and production training documents as required. Help investigate manufacturing problems and suggest and/or implement solutions as assigned. Maintain multiple projects simultaneously and able to work to deadlines. Identify potential improvements and utilize personal experience and other internal & external experts to develop & propose practical solutions. May be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description. Competency Requirements: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer skills are required. Ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organization. AutoCAD, Solid works and other engineering computer skills are beneficial. Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Education and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline preferred Minimum of 1-5 years in manufacturing experience Work Environment/Work Conditions: Individual is frequently required to stand, sit, walk, bend and crouch to perform job duties. Lifting of no more than 30 lbs. is required.
