Translational Sciences and Medicine (TSM) is an integrated group of scientists composed of a clinical Translational Medicine (TM) team which conducts early clinical development and experimental medicine studies, and a Translational Sciences (TS) team which uses human-based data to support the end-to-end portfolio. Together, the TSM group will provide the key learnings/insights on the next wave of novel therapies for these patients. Organizationally, TSM serves as a pivotal bridge between Discovery Research and the later phase Clinical Development group. TSM provides the necessary scientific and clinical expertise to advance an industry-leading pipeline of novel mechanism small molecules and biologic agents to address unmet need in immune-mediated diseases.

The TSM group is hiring a Diagnostic Project Manager to ensure successful delivery of diagnostic projects from initiation of development to regulatory approval and to further optimize the delivery of precision medicines by defining and championing best practices. The Project Manager will work with a cross-functional team for driving timely delivery of all aspects of companion diagnostics to meet the needs of successful therapeutic assets including models for resource management, decision support, and business reporting. The Diagnostic Project Manager will work closely with a Diagnostic Development Leader to deliver technical expertise across several cross-functional diagnostic project and program teams.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manages projects within Immunology and Rare Disease areas to deliver diagnostic solutions on time, within cost and quality requirements.

  • Creates and manages project plans to deliver diagnostics aligned with project milestones. Working closely with project managers from Compound Development Teams to harmonize timelines, budgets, and deliverables.

  • Works with Project Management functions from external testing vendors, managing relationships towards expediting contracts, tracking deliverables and milestones, ensuring invoicing is aligned with budgets, scheduling/managing vendor meetings with clear agenda/meeting minutes/risk and decision logs while tracking action items to closure and work plans to ensure samples are tested and data is reported to meet development timelines and specifications.

  • Plans and facilitates Diagnostic portfolio/book-of-work harmonized to the Immunology portfolio using structured PM tools. Manages diagnostic development team meetings following good PM practices of clear agenda/meeting minutes/risk and decision logs while tracking action items to closure. accurate actions are captured and tracked, manages Diagnostic Development Team presentations to Compounds Development Teams and senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Biological Sciences.

  • 5+ years of work experience in diagnostics/IVD development, clinical development, and/or Pharmaceutical/biotech R&D.

  • Experience in Project Management techniques, tools, and principles with a track record of successful implementation of PM workflows. PMP certification will be preferred.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Experience with global team management communication with key stakeholders.

  • Professional, proactive approach to work. Comfortable and effective in working in a fast-moving, matrixed environment as both an individual and collaborative team member.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $115,000 to $197,800.
