SkillBridge - Site Service Technician

This is a developmental opportunity for active-duty military personnel who will be separating from the military in the next three (3) to six (6) months. The SkillBridge Internship Program is designed to provide on-the-job training and experience in the civilian sector to SkillBridge applicants. SkillBridge is a Department of Defense (DOD) program that matches civilian opportunities to a military member’s job training and work experience at the end of their military duty. Applicant must be eligible for the DOD SkillBridge program.

Job Summary:

This position is an essential component to one of our top customer’s success. Through this role you will analyze, inspect, and maintain onsite customer owned mobile equipment located in Spring Hill, TN.

You will assist in ensuring our maintenance program meets the performance, reliability, durability, and operational characteristics required by the customer.

You will perform system monitoring, failure reporting and corrective-action duties which are crucial to improving productivity and acceptance of the equipment fleet.

You will contribute to and enhance customer satisfaction by ensuring optimal performance of the fleet during operation, as well as the service provider during maintenance and repair, by providing the necessary support to maximize efficiency and value for all parties involved.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Onsite Repair: Accurately troubleshoot issues, reduce downtime of product. Process all work-orders on a daily basis with complete information. Work with site Admin to address any and all parts sourcing issues on a daily basis.

• Identify Issues

• Suggest Improvement

• Repair trucks to customer satisfaction

• Onsite Inspection: Successful inspection of equipment to meet or exceed customer expectations. Address maintenance issues in a proactive manner by addressing any concerns found during the inspection process.

• Perform physical inspection of the complete fleet every two weeks as signed by Saturn Manager

• Process all paperwork in a timely manner and escalate any safety concerns immediately to management.

Required Qualifications :

• Active Military personnel whom is eligible for the DOD SkillBridge program.

• Minimum high school diploma

• 0-5 years relevant work experience

• Entry-level understanding of mechanical and electrical (AC and DC) troubleshooting skills.

• Basic mechanical skills including electrical diagrams and hydraulic systems to tie in with daily maintenance required to meet the customer’s expectations.

• Must be motivated, and willing and able to work safely in high pressure environments.

• Must be able to adapt readily to project changes and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Ability to work well both within team atmospheres and independently with little supervision.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. is required - equipment made available for heavier items.

• Ability to stand/sit for prolonged periods to perform required work.

• Ability to maneuver in physically demanding environments.

• Must be able to work in various weather conditions (hot/cold extremes) with provisions.

• Position requires effective verbal and written communication skills.

• General computer knowledge is required.
