Information Technology Internship

Scot Forge Company is looking to hire an IT Intern for the Summer of 2023 at the corporate facility in Spring Grove, IL. This internship at Scot Forge will focus on infrastructure and security systems at Scot Forge, and provide exposure to the IT profession. This intern will be supporting the IT team through a combination of daily tasks and projects.

  Projects will include:

• IT Infrastructure, IT networking and IT security

• Network support and monitoring,

• Application support and monitoring,

• Building and imaging PCs,

• Installing IT cabling, organizing and wiring IDFs,

• Supporting help desk operations,

• Monitoring and documenting infrastructure hardware and configuration

• Implementing cutting edge IT security measures and software

• Implementing mobile device management and IT inventory projects

• Developing and documenting new and enhanced IT processes

  Qualifications:

• Working toward an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related program

• IT Networking knowledge

• Windows and other operating system knowledge

• PC and peripheral support

• Experience or knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle

• Hardware and operating systems architecture knowledge

  Additional Requirements

• Must be authorized to work anywhere in the U.S. without sponsorship

• Must be able to pass a 90 day head hair drug test today.
