Job Description

The Treasury Analyst is a key source that drives financial analysis, advice, and leadership in a variety of treasury projects and functions. The Treasury Analyst is part of the Corporate Treasury group and will be responsible for analyzing and recommending financing strategies and capital structures. An integral part of the role is assisting with the close process which includes investment, debt, and equity journal entries, completing reconciliations, and supporting several other departments by providing statements and prepared workpapers. Additional responsibilities include monitoring capital markets, managing interest rate risk, providing technical and analytic support to senior management with regard to research, analysis, management, and administration of the company’s balance sheet and required capital and liquidity needs. Creates quantitative and qualitative schedules, reports, and analysis required to support corporate objectives, management decision-making, and compliance filings with regulatory and other reporting requirements. Maintains strong relationships with state commission staffs, legal counsel, trustees, and bankers. Prepares and maintains cost of capital calculations and assists with preparation of rate case requests. Administers numerous debt and equity transactions.

Requirements

Treasury Analyst II:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, accounting, general business, tax, statistics or a related field is required

  • 2+ years of accounting experience

  • Comprehensive knowledge of theory and general practices of subject area

  • Demonstrated advance understanding of the accounting field and good understanding of the company’s business processes and operations.

    Treasury Analyst III:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, accounting, general business, tax, statistics or a related field is required

  • 5+ years of accounting experience

  • Considerable knowledge of the theory and practices of related accounting field

  • Demonstrated depth of technical competency indicating mastery of the theory and practice of the subject area

  • Demonstrated knowledge and big picture understanding of major business processes and operations

Hybrid work options are available for this role. The successful candidate will be required to work at our Spokane, Washington headquarters at least 3 days per week including Mondays and Tuesdays with an additional day determined by the employee and manager.
