Summary As a member of the Planning & Records department this position will receive, review, maintain and file source documents of aircraft, engines, and other related technical aircraft information for input and maintenance validation to ensure airworthiness of assigned aircraft to include records with a variety of alpha/numeric data entered onto various storage media.   • Analyze and transact completed maintenance in Aircraft Tracking Program.
  • Updates Technical logbooks.
  • Update maintenance board.
  • Manage original flight logs and maintenance records.
  • File and research/recall maintenance records.
  • Support Maintenance personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Basic understanding of aviation regulatory requirements is helpful.

Supervisory Responsibility None. Work Environment This job operates in an office and hangar environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is usually at a typical office level and while in the hangar with frequent periods of moderately loud noises. Exposure to industrial chemical smells, fragrances, animals, etc. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Regular exposure to a hangar environment with walking/traversing hazards, uneven surfaces, and stairs.
