ERPi Specialized Technical Area Coordinator in Spokane, Washington


ERPi is currently seeking a full-time EHRM Liaison to VA OIT to provide onsite support at our Spokane, WA site.

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is committed to providing seamless care for Veterans, including access to a complete electronic health record (EHR) and shared, transparent care pathways with the Department of Defense (DoD) and community providers. In order to ensure seamless care for Veterans, VA will move toward a single common system by adopting the electronic health record (EHR) system that is being deployed by DoD, which at its core consists of Cerner Millennium. Currently the VA is undertaking an enterprise-wide Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) effort through the procurement of the Cerner commercial electronic health record software and related support services. This modernization of VA’s health information management systems will result in a common, single, lifetime health record that both DoD and VA can access, with anticipated improvements in patient care and safety.

This role will oversee site required activities tied to the critical path schedule for EHRM IOC for associated facilities in their assigned areas. Serve as Primary POC and PM for associated site-level projects for a subset of the following areas:

  • Care Devices (Laboratory (Chem & Non / Chemical); Patient Care / Ward; Procedural / OR / ERl; Administrative Tracking; Logistics)

  • Network

  • Must be able to work independently designing and developing new software products or major enhancements to existing software for a healthcare/clinical environment. Acts as highest level technical expert, addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility, healthcare semantics, informatics and multiple platforms. Responsible for project completion. Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
  • Bachelors's degree in Healthcare IT, computer science, electronics engineering, engineering or technical related field
  • At least 10 years of professional experience (12 years if degree requirement not met)
