TENSHI SEAFOOD (USA) INC. Seafood Processing Labor in SPOKANE, Washington

Unload crabs from shipping trucks and transport them by hand or forklift truck to tanks and processing plant. Check for any undersize seafood and reject accordingly, reject dead seafood. Weight crabs, record weight and pack them in Styrofoam boxes with gel pack ices and label on products. Sort out crabs according to grade and weight. Load all labeled products of seafood to company trucks for exporting to overseas or delivering to local buyers. Ensure Quality control & assurance for all products coming from the seafood room is fresh. Ensure that standards for sanitation and food safety are met or exceeded. Clean workstations, water tanks, and equipment daily. Check the temperatures of water tanks regularly to ensure the good quality of seafood. Transport supplies and packaging materials throughout plant and storage area manually or with powered equipment. Complete pre-employment background check; provide at least one reference for prior work experience; be able to lift at least 50 lbs. The anticipated start date is October 1, 2024 with an end date of May 31, 2025. The geographic area of intended employment is Whatcom, Washington. Employees will work 35 hours per week, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This work schedule is a sample work schedule, it is subject to change due to work volume and demands.  On-the-job training is provided. The wage for this position is $21.29/hour. Overtime will be offered at $31.94/hour. The employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable inbound transportation and subsistence costs within the first workweek. The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable outbound transportation and subsistence costs during the last workweek. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. The employer will reimburse the worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the worker. The employer will also provide to the H-2B workers, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned.
