Position Summary: Responsible for examining materials for quality and defects. Maintains records regarding production and quality metrics. Investigates defects and errors to identify root cause and escalates or implements applicable resolution personally or in partnership with appropriate production and management personnel. What You'll Do: Ensure quality of manufactured goods. Inspect goods as they are finished. May examine materials from suppliers before sending them to production line. Inspect components, subassemblies, and assemblies. Perform quick visual inspections. Test, measure, and analyze products. May order materials. Ensure company is meeting the standard codes in the manufacturing process. Record pass/fail grade of products. May produce detailed reports.
