Required Skills
Must adhere to Sheet Metal Workers’ Local Union 55 Standard Form of Union Agreement and Collective Bargaining Agreement
Must submit to and successfully pass background checks including drug, credit and criminal history
Ability to work within precise limits and standards of accuracy
Be able to rate information using measurable standards, plan, layout, fabricate, assemble, install and repair sheet metal parts, products and equipment using your knowledge
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, product specifications to determine sequence and method of fabrication, assembly, and install of sheet metal products. Select gauge and type of sheet metal
Install assemblies in supportive framework according to blueprints, using hand tools, power tools and lifting and handling devices
Physical ability to climb ladders, work, and tour hazardous environments such as mechanical or boiler rooms and walk on high rise rooftops
Must possess current driver’s license and maintain satisfactory driving record
