Program Summary

Rising Strong serves families who are at risk for separation due to parental substance misuse by providing safe housing, substance misuse treatment, case management, and other supportive wraparound services. By serving whole families, our aim is to reduce trauma in children, decrease the rates of foster care placements, and remove barriers that traditionally prevent parents from succeeding in substance abuse treatment. We walk alongside and support vulnerable families as they seek to change their stories.

 

Job Summary

This position models appropriate health and safety standards for all individuals and families. This position coaches, practices, encourages, and empower families in reunification and recovery both short and long term, along with holding participants accountable for following RS policies and expectations, with a focus on managing and triaging the flow of visitors and residents through Rising Strong, administrative and office assistance to the Rising Strong program participants and staff.

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Spend 60% of time supporting our Administrative Assistant duties at the front desk, which includes:

  1. Triage visitors, guests and residents entering the building by monitoring all foot traffic entering the front doors.
    1. For families and visitors coming to Rising Strong, conduct a search of all persons/items entering the building following RS Search Procedure
  2. Ensure visitors have passed a background check screening. Track & monitor approved visitors via Salesforce or other database systems.
  3. Receive and return phone calls and e-mail messages regarding the Rising Strong program from persons seeking services, community partners, and the public.
  4. Assists in scheduling meetings, appointments, and events. Including coordination of meeting materials, meeting room set up, setting up phone-in capability etc.
  5. Compiles and makes photocopies of documents and forms, prepares documents and forms for Rising Strong staff.
  6. Assists Rising Strong leadership with special projects as assigned; assists Family Skills Coaches and staff with Resident tasks, activities and outings.

     

Spend 40% of time supporting the additional Family Skill's coach duties, listed below:

Assist residents, as needed, with urgent care issues.

Maintain family records, daily log and complete all other necessary documentation.

Monitor the building for safety and potential risks to sobriety.
