Providence St. Joseph Health Director, Clinical Operations - Pediatrics in Spokane, Washington

Description The Director, Clinical Operations is accountable for leadership, direction, and administration of pediatrics within the Providence Medical Group Division. This position is accountable for the outcomes of the division to ensure efficient, high quality, coordinated, patient care across all settings. The Director builds relationships resulting in compassionate care and committed teams within Providence Medical Group and with all of it's stakeholders. The work is completed with a thorough understanding and commitment to the Providence Core Values and Leadership Model. The Director will be an integral pat of the Health Care Delivery Network team. They will actively collaborate with other regional Divisions and teams to achieve desired outcomes for the entire organization. The Director will make decisions affecting strategy, implementation of programs and management of resources. They may also act as a practice leader and manager of clinical leadership and physicians within the designated Providence Medical Group Division. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Based on analysis, develops recommendations for program and service development or expansion. Collaborates effectively across programs, hospitals and with all clinical and business divisions to develop and/or enhance programs and service delivery in a coordinated way to best serve our patients and community. Provides leadership for strategic planning, clinical experience, fiscal accountability, patient satisfaction, operational effectiveness, and positive relationships with other departments, hospitals, physician practices and stakeholders within scope and span of control. Develops overall budget and targets to ensure financial performance measure are met for Providence Medical Group division. Partners with providers to ensure presence of on-going quality improvement program by providing leadership for patient safety, quality improvement, service excellence, physician satisfaction, and program growth and development. Develops and maintains productive working relationships with all key constituents. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in Health care, business, economics or related field. Master's Degree (preferred). 7 years of management or administrative experience in health care, preferably with integrated health delivery network. Solid financial background gained through both operations and strategic planning. Ability to develop strong working relationships with physicians and other health care professionals. Working knowledge of healthcare reimbursement principles, information systems, cost management, quality management and culture of experience and change management. Understand and be comfortable in a matrix structured environment. Understand the needs and preference of population served and manage the efficiency and quality of services for patient population cross service lines and divisions, in concert with physician partners.
