Greenleaf Landscaping Tree and Shrub Pruner in Spokane Valley, Washington
Greenleaf Landscaping is currently hiring a Tree/Shrub Pruner to join our Arbor Team!
Under the direction of the Arborist, the Pruning Technician will work with customers in private residential or commercial landscapes to provide arbor services that includes: maintaining healthy trees & shrubs, treat or remove injured and diseased trees, and prunes shrubs and trees.
These positions will be full time with a schedule that is typically Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm. There will be opportunities for overtime some days, but we value work-life balance! We also value growth, and these roles will also have the potential to take on leadership and mentorship duties. We provide certification study guides, and assist with certification testing fees and license/renewal fees.

Duties:
Analyzing, evaluating and diagnosing a wide variety of plants for disease or disorder
Provides treatment under the direction of the Arborist
Selects appropriate tools for daily schedule
Repairs splitting or broken limbs or branches and other tree wounds
Operates and maintains safety equipment: may include chainsaws, hedge trimmers, pole pruners and chippers
Work independently or as a team member that requires concentration and physical effort
Seasonal variety pruning including natural pruning
Follow all Greenleaf procedures including:
Completing vehicle book log (DOT)
Following all L&I, ANSI safety standards
Maintain production hours
Detailed cleanup
Account for all tools before leaving the jobsite
Check tools in at the end of shift (use lockout tagout procedures)
Requirements:
Ability to use basic math (example, add and subtract) or ability to learn basic math to count product for inventory.
Ability to work full-time, outdoors, with many hours in peak seasons, after storms and other emergencies including inclement weather
Ability to lift 50lbs periodically and 25lbs consistently throughout daily shift
Has a positive attitude to actively solve problems
Ability to provide excellent customer service
1 year of landscaping maintenance in lawn care, pruning or horticulture related duties.
