Salary: £27,000-£31,000 - Dependent on Experience
Position Overview:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team of warehouse associates, ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities, and supporting the Warehouse Supervisor in managing workflows. This role involves coordinating tasks related to receiving, storing, and shipping products while ensuring that safety, quality, and productivity standards are met. The Warehouse Supervisor plays a critical role in driving efficiency, promoting teamwork, and achieving operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
· Guide and motivate warehouse operatives in daily tasks, including order picking, packing, shipping, and receiving.
· Provide on-the-job training and support to ensure employees understand their duties and meet productivity standards.
· Assist in conducting regular cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain accurate stock levels.
· Report inventory discrepancies, damages, or shortages to the Operations Manager and assist in corrective actions.
· Ensure that stock is properly labelled and stored in accordance with company policies and procedures.
· Serve as the primary point of contact between warehouse operatives and the Operations Manager.
Qualifications:
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and resolve conflicts.
· Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanners, and other warehouse technologies.
· Knowledge of inventory control processes and shipping/receiving procedures.
· Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (certification is a plus).
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift and move items up to 20kg
· Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
· Comfortable working in varying temperatures (e.g., cold storage, hot environments).
Work Schedule:
Shift work 4 on 4 off - 8am-8pm – 42 hours a week on average
