Description

We have partnered with a client in Spartanburg, SC to source a permanent placement, Staff Accountant with their corporate office. Qualified candidates will have up to a year of experience with Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Month End Close, among other tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy

• Maintain and update the general ledger on a continuous basis

• Prepare journal entries as part of the financial accounting process

• Carry out month-end close procedures to ensure timely financial reporting

• Utilize accounting systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, and QuickBooks for various tasks

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take suitable action to collect overdue payments

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently

• Maintain precise customer credit records

• Resolve customer credit inquiries effectively and professionally.

Requirements • Must possess a strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficient in Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with the General Ledger

• Ability to make accurate Journal Entries

• Experience in Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in NetSuite software

• Familiarity with Oracle software

• Proficiency in QuickBooks software

• Must have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and best practices

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
