Description

We are working with a growing company that is currently expanding the accounting team. This role involves meticulous financial tasks within the industry, providing essential support to our financial department. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for handling both accounts payable and receivable, conducting bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the processing of customer accounts payable (AP)

• Oversee and manage accounts receivable (AR) functions

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy

• Maintain and update the general ledger on a regular basis

• Prepare and process journal entries as needed

• Assist in the month-end close process to ensure timely financial reporting

• Ensure that all financial transactions and records comply with company policies and regulations

• Collaborate with other members of the finance team to streamline operations and improve financial processes

• Assist in other accounting or financial tasks as assigned by the management team

Requirements

• Experience with Month End Close processes

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
