Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a facilities maintenance technician for one of our manufacturing clients in the upstate of SC. To be considered, candidates must have a background in building or facilities maintenance with mechanical and/or electrical knowledge. The company primarily works in automotive interiors and this position will be in their lamination facility, which can be described as a specialized manufacturing or production center where various materials are laminated together to create components used in car interiors. The job requires strong communication skills and leadership skills. The job requires attending and participating in plant safety meetings and enforcing safety expectations within the department.

Additional Qualifications:

Must comply with Company rules, including but not limited to safety, attendance, and other job specifications

Must conform to all Sage Automotives and Business Policies.

Actively participate in all aspects of Sage Automotive Interiors Safety program as it applies at the plant(s) and office(s) including attending weekly subcommittee and monthly plant-wide meetings, attending plant safety audits, and submitting a monthly NETS card.

Must have mechanical and / or electrical background.

Must have breakdown repair experience.

Ability to be self-managed over a range of job tasks.

Good organizational and safety skills.

A proven record of being dependable and reliable.

Must have the ability to work in a team environment

Other potential projects as assigned:

Forklift Repairs

Minor forklift repairs

Coordinate with outside vendor for major repairs

Projects

Plant projects as assigned

General

Data input in work order tracking systems

Parts procurement with engineering clerk assistance

Interact with vendors / contractors to complete assignment

Attend daily team meeting and other meetings as assigned

Willing to accept direction from team lead and engineering manager

Any tasks deemed necessary by plant management for the success of Cotton Blossom

Skills and Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

Mechanical or electrical background

Building/facilities maintenance experience in an industrial environment

HVAC systems

Plant lighting

Dock levelers / shelters

Roof inspections / maintenance

Plumbing audits / repairs (bathrooms & sewer system)

Rack maintenance

All non-production equipment systems -- indoors and outdoors -- all weather conditions

Fire system maintenance experience

Weekly / monthly / annual maintenance

Call backs as needed Forklift Maintenance experience

Secondary education (technical certification, associates course work, etc) null
