Under the leadership of the Associate Director for Housing Administration and Business Operations, the Assistant Director of Housing for Communication and Operations is responsible for the day-to-day business functions within the department including marketing, communications, desk services, camps and conferences, and technology.
Market Residence Life and Housing program with an emphasis on the retention of on campus students.
Create and update market-specific publications.
Manage and improve Residence Life and Housing's website, portal page, and social media accounts.
Manage targeted messaging to residential students including opening and closing information
Promote the department through storytelling in web, print, and social mediums.
Oversee the creation of all branded materials, including apparel, printed, and promotional items.
Ensures that website and other social presences align with the department's operations calendar.
Develop and utilize occupancy reports and other housing updates (e.g. applications, break housing data) for audiences as requested by the Director of Housing and Residential Life, BOT, Executive Leadership, etc.
Utilize reports and other functions in Housing portal with responsibility for the visual and graphic elements.
Manage phone and email correspondence with students, parents, and other offices regarding questions related to room assignments, ensuring timely and consistent correspondence.
Oversee summer camps/conferences and SOAR Housing.
Provide training and support for summer conference staff.
Oversee facilitation of contract meetings and summer stakeholder meetings.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders regarding summer operations.
Maintain up-to-date information in applicable Summer Databases to ensure accuracy for planning, billing, etc.
