P/S/R - Operator III - Southport, NC

This is an hourly level position.

Position Summary:

This is an entry level position. Candidates will be expected to progress to additional responsibilities as they become available. Working under the supervision of the Recovery Superintendent, the full time Laborer’s responsibilities require the ability to perform various duties in an industrial environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates initiative and capability of progressing to other positions within the Southport Team

  • Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in a team setting when needed

  • General housekeeping

  • Dump rework material

  • Refurbish caked product

  • Willing to work overtime, weekends & holidays

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to read and write

  • Ability to communicate clearly

  • Ability to pay attention to and focus on small details. i.e., lot numbers, order numbers, etc.

  • Computer literacy, i.e., keyboarding and mouse use is a plus

  • Ability to work well as part of a team

  • Ability to drive a forklift

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

  • Ability to climb stairs

  • Ability to work in confined spaces, work with heights, bending and kneeling

  • Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions such as hot and cold temperatures

  • Knowledge and experience in an industrial environment is a plus

  • Promotes the ADM Way and Core Values

  • Must have a demonstrated history of safe work behavior and a sincere desire to follow and improve upon safety policies and procedures

  • High school diploma or equivalent
