Description If you're an experienced Senior Accountant with an eye for accuracy, Robert Half currently has a short-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity for you to check out. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities in this role

  • Ad-hoc projects as necessary

  • Participate in various department-wide initiatives

  • An endless desire to improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Organize quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

  • Review financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)

  • Manage monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

  • Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

  • Compose Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Function with business partners to ensure compliance with procedures and controls, corporate accounting policies, and provide support on special requests Requirements - Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to retain complex work directions

  • SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience

  • Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

  • Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

  • Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports

  • Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing, with functional department managers

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent

  • Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience

  • Candidate accomplished in financial reporting is ideal

  • Experience with ERP systems

  • Vow to meet business deadlines

  • General ledger experience preferred

  • Accounts Receivable (AR) experience required

  • Proven knowledge of Prepare Trial Balance

  • Bank reconciliations experience

  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience

  • Analyze Financial Statements experience highly desired
