The Manufacturing Technician for Lumigen, Inc. a subsidiary of Beckman Coulter Diagnostics Companies, is responsible for assisting Manufacturing Scientists with manual aspects of handling medical diagnostic reagent formulations and chemical processes including filtration, purification, transportation, storage, and preparation for shipping/receiving following standard operating procedures in an ISO 9001 facility.

This position reports to the Manager, Reagent Manufacturing and is part of the of the Lumigen Operations Team located in Southfield, Michigan and will be on-site. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain a clean and safe lab environment in compliance to environmental, health, and safety policies.

  • Follow written procedures to safely handle, dispense, and package reagents for medical diagnostics.

  • Order and maintain appropriate stock of lab supplies.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Minimum of High School Diploma (or equivalent)

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb stairs and ladders

  • Basic experience with work productivity software (MS Office)

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Mechanical/technical work

  • Laboratory environments
