NovaCare Prosthetics & Orthotics has a CPO Opportunity in Southfield, MI $10,000 sign-on bonus! NovaCare Prosthetics and Orthotics Center in Southfield is now hiring a full-time compassionate and driven ABC Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) to provide exceptional patient care experiences. Oversees all stages of design, fabrication, fitting, and maintenance of prosthetic devices related to patients' needs, as indicated by a physician. American Board Certified (ABC) certification in Prosthetics/Orthotics is required. Our highly trained and respected therapy team provides services that maximize functionality and promote the well-being of our patients. Our work environment offers a great opportunity to provide skilled care to our patients and grow within our Prosthetics and Orthotics division. Schedule: Mon - Fri, 8:30 am-5:00 pm
Starting Salary: From $80,000 and up, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
Oversees all stages of design, fabrication, fitting and maintenance of orthotic/prosthetic devices related to patients' needs, as indicated by a physician. Assists physicians with the evaluation and analysis of the patient's need for orthotic/prosthetic services. Ensures proper patient management is consistent with established practices for orthotic/prosthetic care. Identifies and reconciles issues/problems to ensure patient satisfaction with devices provided. Ensures highest standards of patient care are provided to all patients, including but not limited to adequate follow-up with patients and physicians. Reviews new techniques and materials to ensure the widest range of flexibility and services offered. Maintains accurate documentation to clearly define goals, issues and solutions for each patient. Provides administrative staff with information to conduct reimbursement activities. Provides information to facility management to ensure proper management of inventory and materials. Meets with physicians, case managers and other referral sources to market orthotics/prosthetics services and capabilities. Provides on-call services, as necessary. Recommends treatment options to physicians, when necessary.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited college or university from a recognized Orthotics and Prosthetics school. American Board Certified (ABC) certification in Orthotics Prosthetics required. Completion of Prosthetics/Orthotics Residency Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand, bend, and reach consistently throughout a work day/shift. Must have manual dexterity in hands in order to fabricate appliances. Must be able to lift casts up to 75 pounds. Appropriate manual dexterity to enable typing (including10-key) throughout a work day/shift. Ability to lift up to 25lbs, safely, from ground to waist using proper body mechanics.
