Seven Hills Foundation Assistant Director of Behavioral Health, South (Southbridge) in Southbridge, Massachusetts

The Assistant Director of Behavioral Health Services in Southbridge, MA will provide support to the Director of Behavioral Health Services in the in the development, implementation, and maintenance of program clinical operations, expectations, practices, and business goals. To this end the Assistant Director will share responsibility for outpatient and home-based clinical services and will have direct responsibility for a service area including intake and assessment and/or some aspect of the clinical care. The Assistant Director will be responsible for providing direct clinical care to youth and families via an outpatient or in-home therapy service and for providing clinical supervision to Master level clinicians and Bachelor level providers.

The Assistant Director will be required to work both remotely and in-person and must have demonstrated knowledge of the ambulatory care system as well experience in providing clinical care and clinical supervision.

  • Support the Director in ensuring that the goals and objectives of the site are met and act on behalf of the Director in their absence or as requested.

  • Manager day-to-day operations of outpatient and home-based services to ensure that the highest quality clinical care is provided and documented in keeping with best practices, regulatory standards and agency standards.

  • Ensure that clinicians and counselors under the AD's purview meet or exceed productivity expectations.

  • Work with the Director to ensure that all training, quality assurance, and compliance standards are met in the center, and have specific responsibility for the documentation in service area specialty.

  • Demonstrate competency, reliability, honesty, integrity, respectfulness, continued learning, effective collaboration, positivity, mutual support, active listening, and attention to the responsibilities of the job.

  • Recruit, hire, and train staff as needed. Supporting the diversity of our staff and interns, as well as taking a leadership role in performance management, progressive discipline, and professional development of staff and interns.

  • Develop a budget for the program along with the Director of the program, monitor budgets regularly, and ensures that all productivity expectations are met or exceeded.

  • Ensure that any issues or concerns related to risk or ethical misconduct are immediately brought to the Director and the AVP and/or VP, and the CEO, if needed.

  • Review reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, and as needed basis to ensure that information related to insurance, authorizations, eligibility, productivity, copayments, failed activities, waitlists, and other reports as identified are utilized to ensure successful operations in the program.

  • Master's or Doctoral Degree in Psychology, Social work, Mental Health Counseling, or related field required.

  • Independent licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or licensed psychologist required.

  • Active CANS certification required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical or supervisory experience in a behavioral health setting, preferably working with children, adolescent, and family services.

  • Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and personal transportation to fulfill essential job functions is required.

  • Minimum of 1 year of program coordination/management experience.

  • Familiarity with Electronic Health/Billing Record required.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) capabilities preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to perform sedentary aspects of position, including, but not limited to desk and electronic work, driving to meetings and trainings, as well as driving/transporting clients as necessary.

  • Must be able to perform the duties listed above, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Employee may be required to intervene in order to de-escalate and/or provide safety and if essential, provide physical management of clients, using methods and techniques approved by YOU, Inc. and appropriate to ambulatory and home-based settings.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 10am - 6pm, will work 1 evening per week as Licensed Clinician on duty. Scheduling flexibility is a must.
