OVERVIEW
Cadrex is searching for a Supply Chain Coordinator who will be responsible for the supply chain coordination in the assigned customer business unit. This position includes responsibility for situational analysis, tactical development, and guidance in implementation for the functional disciplines of supply chain development, procurement, planning and inventory control. These responsibilities will support the individual customer’s needs and be complementary to Cadrex’s overall Supply Chain Management goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the internal customer advocate; delivering voice of the customer feedback across the internal organization
Communicate clearly and regularly the customer’s needs to Commodity Management, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure that Cadrex provides supply chain solutions that foster success
Participate in Cadrex’s monthly SIOP cycle with Business Unit Management and Operations Management as required to meet and exceed customer OTD goals and expectations
Play point on customer demand plan changes and the feedback loop within 24-48 hours of receiving; analyze new demand plan requirements, compare against existing orders/forecasts/supply plans, and lead the cross functional response on an updated supply plan
Ensure that relevant ERP/MRP/Planning systems are synchronized according to Customer needs and production capacity
Facilitate cross-functional internal customer supply reviews and tie into existing monthly and weekly SIOP processes
Prepare and lead the weekly site Production Meeting to plan the short-term horizon in conjunction with budget targets
Proactively communicate supply gaps versus customer requirements
Proactively manage Excess & Obsolete material that results from customer demand changes. Ensure that recovery is in alignment with customer contracts and liability agreements
Collaborate with Operations and Finance to plan for capacity and capital equipment when SIOP identifies a gap
Pilot and lead advanced supply chain optimization programs such as vendor managed inventory, supplier-owned inventory, Just-in-Time delivery schedules, reduced lead times and cancellation terms, return privileges
Support other miscellaneous Customer Service activities as assigned by supervisor
Assist SC/Purchasing in executing the RFQ, purchasing and expediting processes as needed
Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years’ related experience in Supply Chain Management or Operations role in a manufacturing environment
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as inventory parameters, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Knowledge of inventory and manufacturing software
Highly proficient in MS Excel and other MS suite products
Complete necessary paperwork accurately and timely
Must possess above average oral and written communication skills and demonstrated knowledge and understanding of manufacturing operations processes
Must be comfortable engaging with customers
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
