National Grid Office Technician in South Yarmouth, Massachusetts

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Copy, Scan, Fax, and File various record types. Create work orders in the work management system (WMS) (Gate boxes, etc.). Casbuilt completed work orders in the Work Management System (Maximo, etc.). Order office supplies and deliver UPS packets. Handle internal and external customer calls. Process Check requests. Process various invoices (SAP, Shopping Carts, dig safe, etc.). Perform other clerical duties as assigned (Remedy Updates, Corporate Bulletins, Job Postings, Data Entry, Patch Inspections, assist in work packet creation, etc.); and Assist employees of higher grade as required. Make outgoing calls to customers to schedule Meter Set Compliance and Meter Protection appointments. Casbuilt all jobs requested by supervisors including Leaks, Mains and Service and Miscellaneous work. Print survey books. Create all work orders for meter set compliance and Survey 123 entries. Must be proficient in the customer system (CRIS), or any future similar systems, able to access customer accounts, interpret billing, service order and meter reading information, create orders in CRIS/MDSI or other supporting systems. Assist with the closing out of CMS atmospheric corrosion work orders, by transferring information entered in the field into the appropriate office- based program. Enter job information provided by contractors each week into the construction database. Time Entry (exceptions-corrections). Assist in end of year clothing and boot allowance transfers for C&M and CMS. Maintain overtime process, as needed. Meter Reading: Route review, schedule, assign, complete and process work. Achieve meter reading read rates through skipped read resolution / zero read report. Interact with appropriate revenue departments to resolve any meter reading related issues. Process ERT changes / AMR / Meter Route accuracy; and Assist Work Support supervisors with other tasks as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Demonstrated computer skills and knowledge of the word processing and spreadsheet applications. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with internal and external customers without resistance. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to process larger volumes of data within strict deadlines. Knowledge of SAP. Must pass clerical test on record. Must type a minimum of 30 wpm: and D.O.T. drug testing is a requirement for this position. Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
