Robert Half Sr. Accountant in South Weymouth, Massachusetts

Description We are searching for a diligent Sr. Accountant to be a part of our team. The job function is located in South Weymouth, Massachusetts, United States. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity where you will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including cash reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed account reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Manage the general ledger and ensure all entries are accurate.

• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are consistent.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to maintain and analyze financial data.

• Conduct month-end close procedures to keep financial records up-to-date.

• Utilize NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for various accounting tasks.

• Leverage industry-specific knowledge to perform tasks effectively.

• Process, record, and maintain all journal entries.

• Resolve customer inquiries related to financial accounts.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary. Requirements • Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant or similar role in the accounting field

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP

• Familiarity with preparing and posting journal entries

• Experience in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations

• Thorough understanding of general ledger functions

• Ability to manage month end close processes

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data

• BSc degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant subject; industry certification (e.g. CMA, CPA) is preferred.
