How will you make an impact?

Our Genetic Sciences Division is at the forefront of innovation for genetic analysis research and clinical applications. The Capillary Electrophoresis (CE) Business Unit is a key platform within the division. You will have leadership responsibility in developing and executing the application strategy for CE. You will actively participate in external and internal communication and collaborations with thought leaders in the design and development of end-to-end workflow assays that will leverage the gold standard in fragment analysis and sequencing set by our CE systems. Key responsibilities will include developing application roadmap, conducting market research, leading NPI projects, and forming internal and external partnerships to drive application strategy. This position reports to the Product Management Director of Capillary Electrophoresis Consumables.

What will you do?

  • Develop and execute application strategy roadmap

  • Lead new product definition teams, defining critical product requirement documents with prioritized features and corresponding business or financial justification with ROI

  • Collaborate closely with internal groups and external partnerships to develop applications for CE

  • Conduct market research and VoC, and leverage existing market reports

  • Develop business cases that include regulatory strategy, competitive analysis, forecasting, pricing, positioning and training of internal groups

  • Work with market development team and to promote new and existing CE applications

  • Understand, follow and be accountable for business aspects of Product Commercialization Process (PCP) for products

  • Implement business strategy for new customer segments, address pain points of the customer

  • Assess and evaluate competitive landscape – including product offerings.

  • Develop a thorough knowledge of target customer segments, markets and the competition

How will you get here?

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related discipline

  • MBA degree strongly preferred

Experience

  • 7+ years’ experience in Product Management, Marketing, Commercial, or Business Development roles or 3-5+ years’ experience with advanced degree

  • 3+ years’ experience in Product Management for consumables

  • Experience with validated and regulated markets is a plus

  • Experience with Capillary Electrophoresis

Knowledge, Skills and Abelites

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are required

  • Track record of success in launching solution-oriented products

  • Demonstrated history of successful business growth & product life-cycle management

  • Demonstrated ability to develop business cases, customer and product requirements for strategic and/or complex products, soliciting and integrating Voice of Customer and User Centered Innovation inputs
