Amergis Spanish Instructional Aide in South San Francisco, California

$22 - $26

The instructional aide provides detailed instruction from the instructor, assists in facilitating classroom activities.

Sets up and monitors usage of classroom equipment and supplies; ensures that equipment and supplies are returned to storage after use.

Communicates with, assists, and answers questions from students and teacher as required on routine day-to-day classroom activities.

Practices appropriate safety and injury prevention methods and procedures.

Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Works closely with the teacher

This is a special education classroom so these duties are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions in both Spanish and English

  • Ability to clearly communicate and work effectively with others in a variety of situations.

  • Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Ability to adhere to time and attendance policies

  • Ability to carry out tasks in a professional manner and adhere to policies regarding professionalism and boundaries

  • Must demonstrate a compassionate nature and possess strong people skills

  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language may be required

  • Computer proficiency required
