How will you make an impact?

We are seeking a strong candidate to work within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and molecular biologists. The responsibilities will include leading projects related to genetic analysis platforms that result in new applications and performance improvements. The projects include applications for existing as well as new product platforms. The ideal candidate will thrive in a team environment and be comfortable working in the laboratory. Duties will include, but not limited to, planning and executing studies on various qPCR/dPCR and sample preparation platforms, designing assays, analyzing, and presenting results.

  • Independently design and perform qPCR/dPCR experiments to screen variables and optimize workflows

  • Write detailed SOPs, analyze data, and generate reports

  • Troubleshoot instrument and workflow failures

How will you get here?

Education

  • PhD in Molecular Biology / Genetics / Biochemistry / Bioengineering or related field and 1+ years of experience in biotechnology industry or:

  • M.S. in Molecular Biology / Genetics / Biochemistry / Bioengineering or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience in biotechnology industry or:

  • B.S degree with 6+ years of relevant working experience

Key Skills :

  • An independent individual with a strong background in Molecular Biology (or a related field) and a clear understating of product development

  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to prepare and communicate technical information to a wide range of audiences

  • Some experience with qPCR and/or dPCR platforms

  • Demonstrate good laboratory and documentation practices

  • Experience with precise pipetting techniquesAbility to innovate and generate new products and intellectual property

  • Proficiency with JMP, R or similar tools for statistical analysis and visualization is desired

  • Understanding of bioinformatics and available resources/tools for designing assays is a bonus

Key Responsibilities :
