How will you make an impact?

As a trusted advisor to the business and functional leaders, you will collaborate and take action in the areas of talent management, interpersonal development, performance management, career development, employee relations, and compensation planning and change leadership. This role will be supporting various leaders across our functions in Product Management, R&D, Legal, Communications and Finance. Due to our outstanding growth you will be able to lead change and bring expertise in regards to talent pipelines, competency building and organizational changes.

What will you do?

  • Provide HR support, process knowledge advice and consultation to assigned client groups including:

  • Frontline managers and Business Leaders in areas such as organizational assessment, leadership planning, and work force planning, organizational change in order to strengthen overall capabilities.

  • Mentor leaders on issues including application of HR policies and processes, restructuring, and critical employee issues.

  • Conduct compensation analysis in partnership with Thermo Fisher's Compensation Team to determine local compensation needs and actions.

  • Conduct employee relations investigations and provide recommendations for resolution

  • Responsible for site talent strategies and associated initiatives.

  • Works with Recruiting Team to push recruitment efforts that support the long-term talent needs of the site and business. Collaborates with managers and leaders to reassess and define hiring needs and success profiles.

  • Partners with site partners or a leadership team to review and analyze Employee Involvement annual survey results and identify priority areas for improvement, enabling managers to implement action plans to improve and sustain involvement levels among colleagues.

  • Partners closely with HR Business partner(s) for the divisions at the site to ensure alignment of HR processes i.e. Performance Management and Development (PMD), Performance Calibration, Compensation Planning, etc. with strategic and operating goals.


  • 5+ years of related experience in related HR roles

  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred

  • Experience working through sophisticated and sensitive employee issues

  • Proven success managing multiple partners

  • Experience supporting large change initiatives

  • Experience in a fast-paced, matrix environment preferred

  • Excellent MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
