Robert Half Financial Planning Analyst in South San Francisco, California


Cory Devlin of Robert Half is seeking a FP& A Manager for our well-respected client! The FP& A Manager must have deep analytical capabilities, strong verbal and writing skills, and the ability to multitask and work under multiple tight deadlines at once. Key responsibilities

  • Participate in and contribute to cross-functional development teams to address strategic issues

  • Perform financial analysis and valuation related to mergers and acquisitions

  • Provide key financial analysis to enable both day-to-day and strategic decisions

  • Prepare financial models and data mining tools for variance analysis

  • Contribute to financial deliverables for the executive team

  • Provide key financial analysis to inform both day-to-day and strategic decisions

  • Analyze financials for the forecasting and corporate budgeting processes

  • Lead the development of short- and long-term financial forecasts and financial analysis

  • Draw up operating budget and forecasts by estimating the costs and benefits of operating plans during the annual budget development cycle

  • Support and oversee the day-to-day operations of the financial planning team

  • Engage with staff by recruiting, selecting, training, evaluating, and retaining employees

  • Support regulatory filings

  • Analyze budget and fiscal assumptions in the creation of operating plans

    Requirements - Strong influencing and interpersonal skills

  • High level of business acumen

  • Advanced computer software skills, including writing macros in Excel, Access, financial Modeling and other accounting packages

  • The ideal candidate should be able to analyze complex business problems, propose effective solutions and understand and apply business vision and direction

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field is required

  • 8+ years of experience in FP& A required

  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or other relevant certifications are a plus

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to build relationships

  • 2+ years of FP& A supervisory/leadership experience

  • Strong quantitative and qualitative abilities
