The new Head of Accounting and Finance will have the opportunity to design and implement innovative strategies, programs, and systems to ensure our success for the next 70 years! Generally provide deep functional expertise to all accounting functions, including revenue accounting, cost accounting, and project accounting:
Reviews/develops all financial reports, including monthly and year-end budget vs. actual financial reports and analysis.
Assist in identifying, developing, and implementing strategic goals and objectives for continuous improvement of the financial reporting processes.
Provides regular periodic interim financial reports to help ensure effective financial control environment and timely identification of emerging financial issues, problems and opportunities.
Works with the CFO to provide financial perspective and recommendations to executive management and the Board, facilitating strategic decision making.
Advises Chair/Vice Chair, Co Trustees, and Board of emerging financial issues and develops timely recommendations for corrective action as needed
Work closely with the CFO to review variance and trend analysis, performance metrics, forecasting, annual planning, and customer and product profitability analysis.
Prepare timely and accurate reports, variance analysis and commentary as part of the monthly forecasting and management reporting process.
Work with IT to design and create new custom reporting for enhanced decision and data analysis.
Regularly plan and conduct highly complex analysis projects, involving thorough understanding of all financial processes and financial modeling.
Responsible for oversight and implementation of all financial control policies and published rules, regulations and guidelines
Participate in the selection and implementation of a new ERP system and solutions
Preparing internal projections and banking projections
Assist with external audits and work closely with all external auditors

Successful candidates will have:
10+ years of progressive accounting and financial leadership; manufacturing company experience preferred
Bachelors degree and CPA a must; Masters degree preferred
Knowledge of ERP systems; previous experience selecting and implementing new ERP systems strongly preferred
Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment and related analysis is strongly preferred
A broad set of leadership competencies that include strong communication and change management skills, ability to drive business insights, courageous leadership, ability to collaborate cross functionally, and effective planning and execution skills
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, requirements and competing demands in a deadline driven environment
