DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will install and maintain the refrigeration and freezer equipment, as well as the air conditioning units for the center. This includes the maintenance and repair of all components related to refrigeration systems, commercial and domestic walk-in and reach-in freezers and refrigerators, milk and water coolers, and ice machines. It also includes installing and maintaining air conditioning units and related components; recycling and recovering refrigerants, and assisting the electricians when needed.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week. Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Overtime as needed. This may change based on operational need. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience in the maintenance, repair, or installation of HVAC or refrigeration systems, units, and equipment;or Completion of a three-year Vo-Tech training program in refrigeration, HVAC, or building automation and six months experience in the maintenance, repair, or installation of HVAC or refrigeration systems, related digitally controlled equipment, or BA systems; or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of experience in the maintenance, repair, or installation of HVAC or refrigeration equipment. Special Requirements: All employees must obtain EPA Universal Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification from an approved provider within six months of employment. This position requires possession of a valid noncommercial Class C Driver's License. Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement. Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
