Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager is an integral part of our Product Sales and Services (PSS) management team, and will manage daily operations of the Tahoe regional contact center and maintain a strong cohesive team to ensure an experience of a lifetime for all guests. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the Manager and Senior Manager as well as ski & ride school strategic partners at Heavenly, Kirkwood and Northstar to provide quality information about our lesson products, sells & books lessons, respond to guest inquiries and work with guests to make sure we are best meeting their lesson needs.

  • The budgeted range starts at $25.00. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the regional contact center: opening and closing procedures, morning meetings, daily assignments, booking of group and private lessons, sales transactions, processing of advanced sales reservations lesson packets and daily audits of sales transactions

  • Address operations and guest service needs by setting clear goals and objectives for team members

  • Foster a customer-focused environment and mindset to ensure delivery of an exceptional guest experience through all stages of the guest journey

  • Cultivate a strong and positive working relationship across all departments and resorts.

  • Through strong communication and listening, serve as a consultative partner to PSS managers and strategic partners across all three Tahoe resorts.

  • Work with PSS managers to align team priorities, hold team members accountable to achieve their best performance, and coach team members to grow and develop

  • Track and meet all Contact Center key performance indicators such as answer rates, booking accuracy, response time and guest satisfaction.

  • Manage contact center staffing levels in order to meet both guest demand and budget goals

  • Complete and conduct mid and end of season reviews for staff

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years management and guest relations experience

  • Must be reliable, punctual, and always exhibit a professional attitude and appearance

  • Strong attention to detail and high work standards in support of accurate, flawless delivery

  • Exceptional guest service skills

  • Able to communicate effectively in a loud, fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure.

  • Able to lead and inspire a team with a focus on team engagement

  • Able to make judgment calls and sound, ethical decisions displaying a heightened level of responsibility, confidentiality, integrity and professionalism

  • Knowledge of all Ski and Ride School products, policy & procedures

  • Must be computer literate – MS Word, Excel, email, etc

  • Able to work outdoors in the elements; walk on snowy and icy surfaces

  • Able to lift at least 25 lbs.

  • Able to travel to various Heavenly Resort base locations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Point of sale service experience

  • General knowledge of Heavenly, Kirkwood, Northstar and the Tahoe region

  • Second language a plus but not required

  • Love of skiing and/or snowboarding

The expected pay range is $25.00. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
