Human Resources and Leave Administrative Specialist

$20/hr.-$27/hr. (DOE)

South Jordan, Utah

Hybrid (3 days in office, ideally Monday–Wednesday)

Contract Position, 6+ months

What You'll Do as the Human Resource Specialist/Administrative Assistant:

  • Actively engage with employees to address their leave and modified work schedule requirements

  • Ensure clear understanding among employees regarding their responsibilities and the necessary documentation for leave requests

  • Foster an open communication channel between employees and their managers during periods of leave

  • Provide assistance in managing various leave requests, including those related to California and UTAH leave and Paid Parental Leave

  • Facilitate the smooth return-to-work process for employees returning from extended leaves

  • Maintain meticulous leave records, meticulously adhering to both legal requirements and industry best practices

  • Safeguard sensitive employee medical documentation and files with the utmost confidentiality

  • Offer support in data collection activities related to Life Insurance , Leave, and Disability matters.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of HR experience, including Leave of Absence (LOA), Benefits, Payroll, Recruiting, and related functions.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate skills in Excel (data entry, running reports, basic formulas).

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team player.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to see the bigger picture

  • Experience with Workday and Service Now is highly preferred

  • Preferred familiarity with FMLA, ADA and other pertinent laws
