Description:

This role will be responsible for supporting the mechanical engineers by doing drafting/detailing work and converting 3D models to 2D prints. All the designs and models are already completed so they will not be designing parts. They will be required to understand 3D designs in solidworks and will be detailing/drafting mechanical parts that go into food portioning machines. They may have to also provide dimensions, calculate specifications for components and help resolve design problems. They will also need to understand machining since they machine some parts and components onsite.

They will get work assigned from them from the engineering manager and the lead designers. The role will start out as a 6 month contract but will be open ended. At this point in time the top priority is getting the additional support but based on workload and project forecast, it could go longer and they expect that based off their project forecast, that it will go longer.

Skills & Qualifications:

MUST HAVES:

• Proficient designing in Solidworks

• Experience with 2D and 3D design

• Knowledge of machining

NICE to HAVE:

• Associates Degree or CAD certificate
