Robert Half Accounting Manager in South Gate, California

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a VP/Director of Finance in the manufacturing industry, located in South Gate, California. The role requires overseeing financial operations, managing banking relationships, and handling corporate legal matters. The successful candidate will also be charged with overseeing human resources, monitoring compliance issues, and managing large equipment purchases.

Responsibilities:

• Manage banking relationships and structure, including investment of idle funds, financing line availability, acquisitions, and startups

• Oversee corporate tax planning and insurance planning for group health plans and business needs

• Prepare annual reviewed financial statements and interim releases of financial information for lending, credit, or insurance purposes

• Oversee the human resources department and handle all corporate and legal matters that arise

• Manage contract administration of large equipment purchases

• Monitor compliance issues and liaise with the corporate safety manager and the corporate transportation manager

• Handle all insurance loss and liability claim reporting, follow-up, and settlement

• Oversee the company's employee policy and procedures, including measures related to COVID

• Utilize skills in US GAAP, Treasury, Corporate Treasury, Cost Accounting, Cost Analysis, Manufacturing Cost Accounting, Standard Cost Accounting, Annual Financial Reporting, Consolidated Financial, Financial Analysis, Commercial Insurance, Enterprise Resource Planning, and Microsoft Excel. Requirements • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior-level Finance or Accounting position within the Manufacturing industry

• Proficient in US GAAP, Treasury, Corporate Treasury, Cost Accounting, Cost Analysis, Manufacturing Cost Accounting, and Standard Cost Accounting

• Demonstrated expertise in Annual Financial Reporting, Consolidated Financial, Financial Analysis, and Commercial Insurance

• Advanced knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning systems

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Proven strategic planning and business development skills

• Strong leadership and team management abilities

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills

• Ability to manage and direct company-wide budgets

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master's degree or detail oriented certification (e.g., CPA) preferred

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
