Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC technician to work on a military installation, responsible for performing preventive maintenance on various HVAC heating and cooling systems, including rooftop units, chillers, heat pumps, and related equipment. Qualifying candidate will possess a strong background in HVAC repair and maintenance, excellent troubleshooting skills, and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Environmental Factors
Work is performed at State of Vermont and Federal National Guard facilities statewide. The incumbent often works near or with hazardous materials, including ammunition and high voltage. Work requires entering confined spaces, removing snow on runways and exposure to loud noises. An incumbent operates heavy equipment and possession of a Commercial Driver\'s License is required. An incumbent must be able to climb ladders and lift equipment and materials weighing as much as fifty pounds. Work is performed in all kinds of weather. Some work outside of normal duty hours will be required. Travel and overnight stays may be included.
