Honeywell Mechanical Design Engineer I in South Bend, Indiana

Inspire, design and develop products and systems as a highly engaged and integrated engineering team. You will collaborate across Honeywell engineering teams to build solutions and systems that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will participate in all phases of product development and will be part of a group of hardworking engineers whose expertise ensures the success of engineering projects and programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • CAD Modeling & Drawing

  • Ansys Workbench – Static Structural, Modal, DOE

  • Design Engineering, Sizing, & Solutions

  • Customer Requirements Interpretation

  • GD&T and Tolerance Studies

  • Python – Root Solving, Systems of Equations

You must have

  • Bachelors Degree (S.T.E.M. field)

  • Due to export control restrictions, must be a US Citizen

We Value

  • A Co-Op / Internship experience is a plus

  • Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience.

  • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events.

  • Demonstrated experience with design tools appropriate for the field (NX / Python / Ansys, etc.)

  • Demonstrated academic excellence.

  • Demonstrated extra-curricular/leadership experience.

  • GPA of 3.0 of higher is a plus.
