Welder / Fabricator

Responsibilities:

• Operate welding equipment to weld and fabricate metal components based on blueprints and specifications.

• Perform MIG welding techniques to join metal parts together in various construction and manufacturing projects.

• Utilize basic math skills to measure and cut materials accurately for welding processes.

• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working with power tools and hand tools in a manufacturing environment.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and high-quality welding operations.

The Welder will be able to fit up and weld jobs of varying complexity and size and communicate essential information to the production supervisor and lead welder.

Position Requirements:

Must have a very good working knowledge of blueprints and weld symbols.

Must have knowledge of settings and operations of MIG welder and oxygen acetylene torch.

Ability to perform welding in various positions

Operate grinders to prepare parts to be welded.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of work situations

Mathematical ability - basic math calculations (addition, subtractions, multiplication, and division), work with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
