Great opportunity to join Riverside Community Care as a Health and Well-being Coach! In this vital role, the Health and Well-being Coach (HWC) understands the intersection of behavioral and physical health and partners with youth, community youth workers, and caregivers to achieve optimal health and well-being across life domains.
Additionally, the HWC understands that effective Health and Well-being coaching occurs within the context of mindful awareness and at the intersection of partnership, well developed coaching skills and the coaching process.
Through a lens of cultural curiosity, the HWC will:
provide strengths-based health and well-being coaching, modeling, advocacy and guidance to caregivers and youth in a variety of community-based settings
engage caregiver/youth to complete a personal health and well-being inventory and assess readiness for change
encourage, foster, and support the well-being of caregivers/youth through group programming and 1:1 direct care using evidence based coaching practices
empower caregiver/youth goal advancement and skill development as outlined in an individualized Health and Well-being plan
This individual will work collaboratively with other Caregivers SOAR staff to provide holistic care to identified participants. The HWC delivers services through a social sustainability lens and displays commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion across all areas of work.
Schedule: Full Time - 40 hours
Salary:
$29.58/hour with Master's Degree
$27.54/hour for Bachelor Degree
$26.52/hour with Associate's Degree
$25.50/hour for High School Diploma

Required Skills
Must be able to establish a rapport and work effectively with a diverse, multi-cultural group of parents, children, family members and other program staff members
Understanding of and sensitivity to meeting the needs of a neurodiverse population
Demonstrated knowledge or willingness to learn Health and wellbeing coaching process and techniques
Excellent interpersonal skills, including both oral and written communications
Understanding of youth development and family issues that impact upon caregiver/youth relationships
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
Required Experience
Master’s degree with coaching certification preferred. Associate or bachelor's degree in human services field with at least one year of related experience or high school diploma and at least two years of experience working with target populations
Completion of Health and wellbeing coaching certificate (can be completed within 1 year post hire)
