Description

We are offering an opportunity for a diligent Staff Accountant to join our team in Somerset, New Jersey. The role will involve maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledgers, preparing and analyzing budgets, and performing general bookkeeping. You will be working in a fast-paced office environment, this is contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare bank reconciliations to ensure financial reports and records are accurate.

• Maintain fixed assets, ensuring they are correctly accounted for and monitored.

• Review and maintain various schedules of account analysis to ensure records are up to date.

• Conduct regular reviews and maintenance of the general ledger.

• Perform month-end closings, ensuring all financial data has been recorded.

• Conduct various account analyses to provide insights and recommendations.

• Prepare ad hoc reports as needed to support decision-making.

• Utilize strong Excel skills to manage financial data and create financial models.

• Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting operations.

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and processed.

Requirements • Must have a strong understanding and practical experience of Accounts Payable (AP) procedures

• Proficiency in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) is required

• Experience in Bank Reconciliations is necessary

• Should possess detailed knowledge of General Ledger accounting

• Familiarity with Journal Entries is essential

• Should be capable of handling Month End Close tasks efficiently

• Proficiency in NetSuite is required

• Experience in Oracle accounting software is a must

• Knowledge of QuickBooks is essential

• Familiarity with SAP software is needed
