Job Title: Purchasing Coordinator

Location: Somerset, NJ

Hours/Schedule: 8am- 5pm

Type: contract

Overview

Leading consumer goods client looking for an experienced Purchasing Coordinator. Ideal candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in chemical procurement with a strong background in inventory control, MRP, Materials Management/Procurement. A bachelors degree is desired.

Responsibilities

• Purchase goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets

• Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact business operations

• Prepare reports and updates as and when required

• Prepare and raise purchase orders and order schedules

  Requirements

  Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree desired

• 3 to 5 years of experience in chemical procurement

• Strong background in Inventory control, MRP, Materials Management/Procurement

• Experience with business systems such as SAP, Kronos, Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Power point and Outlook)

  Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work in an environment with a strong fragrance odor present.
