SHI PubSec Field Inside Account Executive - Higher Education in Somerset, New Jersey

Job Summary

The PubSec Field Inside Account Executive -Higher Education’s purpose is to build a book of business and sell to SHI’s customers within an assigned territory within Public Sector. The PubSec Field Inside Account Executive - Higher Education will profile accounts through cold calling and prospecting while developing and maintaining customer relationships in their territory.  

This position is required to report to the SHI Austin, TX or Somerset, NJ office location as determined by SHI management.

Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to:

  • Profile accounts through cold calling and prospecting 

  • Establish and develop customer relationships via email, phone,and in-person meetings within assigned book(s) ofbusiness 

  • Help customers select,deployand manage various aspects of their ITenvironment 

  • Quote and place orders based on customerrequests 

  • Grow existing active buying accounts through profiling and managing projects through the entirety of the salescycle 

  • Consistently hit daily and monthly activity goals: monthly meetings, monthly pipeline additions, and daily dials and talktime 

  • Retire monthly/quarterly productionquota 

  • Facilitate customer meetings by proactively reaching out to customers and pre-scheduling the meeting with SHI internalresources 

  • Acquireand manage the IT needs of medium to large businesses while providing customers with a best-in-class customerexperience  

  • Collaborate and co-sell with SHI internalresources 

  • Resolve customer inquiries,determinecustomer painpointsand offer solutions to solve customer ITchallenges 

  • Utilize internal sales tools, including our customer relationship management (CRM), Public Sector resource planning and quote creationtool 

  • Providecustomers insight around industry leading technology and ITtrends 

  • Keep updated on product and industryknowledge 

  • Master SHI systems and tools for quoting,orderingandsourcing 

  • Attend product and sales trainings asrequired 

Qualifications

  • CompletedBachelor’s Degree(College/University) or relevant work experiencerequired 

  • A minimum of 2 years of Customer Service and/or Inside Sales Experience 

  • Proficiencyin business productivity tools (Microsoft) - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Additional Information

  • The estimated annual OTE pay range for this position is $50,000-125,000 which includes a base salary and commission. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
