    JOB OVERVIEW

    Responsible for executing daily functions and projects which involves all materials in the warehouse. Ensures material movements, transfers, and distribution is performed in an efficient and accurate manner. Takes precautions to protect warehouse contents against loss. Retains and reviews warehouse documents and reports. Conducts Warehouse operations in accordance with established procedures and policies and keeps Warehouse manager informed of Warehouse activities. Completes miscellaneous support functions and supports area personnel as required

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Know and understand safety policies and procedures.

  • The ability to teach, coach, council and enforce the safety policies and procedures of PIM Brands

  • Coordinates all warehouse material management consisting of raw material and packaging.

  • Schedules work assignments and projects to all warehouse shifts.

  • Inventory evaluations, cycle counting and monitoring inventory.

  • Report food safety and quality issues to Plant management and SQFP.

  • Follow PIM Brands GMP rules.

  • Monitor fellow employees for adherence to GMPs.

  • Schedules and coordinates vendor inbound materials to Pierce St. & Cottontail locations

  • Performs system transfers of materials and put-away.

  • Receiving of materials and non-consumables and entered into the system.

  • Enforces the implementation of workplace policies and procedures.

  • Promotes and exhibits safe work behaviors.

  • Coaches, counsels, mentors and train staff in accordance with warehouse policies, procedures, and GMPs

  • Resends information on productivity, efficiency and safety performance to Warehouse Manager

  • Works with other managers and supervisors to improve production output and quality.

  • Performs other duties as required.

  • Ability to work additional hours as needed.

Qualifications

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling and crouching. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools and controls. Reasonable accommodations will be evaluated and considered to enable an individual to perform the essential job functions. Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word essential.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job will generally be performed in the warehouse. When on the plant floor it is representative of a large, busy manufacturing operation. Noisy, active, objects on the floor, constant movement and traffic flow of motorized equipment. Hair net, beard net, assigned work uniform, protective eye wear and gloves are among the GMP required apparel that must be worn, if indicated, on the plant floor.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

  • High School education or equivalent work experience is strongly preferred.

  • Excellent leadership abilities.

  • Able to organize, coordinate, and direct team activities.

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Able to read and write English

  • Attentive to detail.

  • Forklift Certified

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Able to operate PC and use Microsoft Office Applications: Word and Excel
