[*Summary *]{.underline}

Perform predictive/preventive maintenance analysis to anticipate and circumvent equipment failures, enhancing uptime, and reducing costs. 

[*Key Job Responsibilities *]{.underline}

•Performs specialized technical tasks required to support operations (e.g., IT development, research support, skilled trade) 

• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical). 

• Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability, and yield. 

• Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance). 

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems. 

• Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures. 

• Prepare for new/relocated equipment installations by sizing, wiring, piping, ventilation, etc. according to incoming equipment requirements. 

• Receive, rig, unload, transport, install, assemble, troubleshoot, and fine-tune new/relocated equipment. 

• Troubleshoot and perform necessary repairs on existing equipment. 

• Assist engineers in identifying worn or damaged parts that may be needed to complete the repair. 

• Interface with and assist outside contractors, OEM's and Technology Process Support groups, in all attempts to install new and repair or upgrade existing processes. 

• Safely handle hazardous materials and hazardous wastes. 

• Interface with in-plant Computerized Machine Maintenance System to show the status of work and time spent on the job.

? Able to do basic math. 

? Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, work orders, schematics, and blueprints. 

? Ability to use a personal computer and various software such as SAP MII. 

? Ability to read and comprehend Schematics, Multi-Meter & Ammeter Utilization, 3 phases & Single phase motor control, PLC & Ladder Logic programming & understanding (AB SLC-500 & Micrologix, Control Logix), Soldering, Mechanical, Power tool usage capability, Welding: Arc and/or TIG, Pipefitting; Soldering / Threading, Power Transmission applications knowledge (Gearboxes, sprockets, & Belts), Pneumatics / Hydraulics. 

? Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with plant personal, supervisors, and managers. 

? Has working knowledge and skills to perform a defined set of analytical/scientific methods or operational processes 

? Applies experience and skills to complete assigned work within own area of expert
