Job Title:Quality Engineer Location:Solon, OH Job Summary: Responsible for aligning Corporate standards to plant deliverables via training and hands-on demonstrations. Helping plants understand inputs and machine process capability to outputs using statistical resources and ongoing analyses. Ensure initiatives to ensure Customer First are working as designed. Assist with KOS assessments of quality systems. Key Job Responsibilities: Assist plants with product quality improvement through the use of continuous improvement resources such as: six sigma, DOE (Design of Experiments), Product and Process Understanding (PPU), and Quality at the Source Assist with procedure creation, dissemination, and understanding via Document Control instrument and rigorous follow-up Ensure commercialized product design intent and product integrity is retained as materials, processes, equipment, methods, and specifications change Establish a standard acceptance process for supplier and equipment qualifications that are statistically based and repeatable. Work with RQMs to ensure they are being followed Evaluate trend data on repeat issues and help plants and staff groups improve CAPAs Understand and help ensure SAP-QM is in place and used as designed Assist with the Smart Factory work to ensure the correct inputs are being measured and tracked and data correlated to output results, utilizing effective control plans and SAP-QM Education, Work Experience, Skills, Certificates Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred 2+ years' experience in quality or process engineering discipline Six Sigma Certification preferred (Green belt or black belt) Certified Quality Engineer preferred Statistical and general critical skills Ability to teach, train, guide in a plant setting Level of position will be based on experience Equal Opportunity Employer Equal Opportunity Employer--minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity.
