The Employer Brand Communications Manager’s primary role is to lead the strategy to elevate Swagelok’s reputation as a top employer, through activation of brand awareness and hiring campaigns and outreach efforts to reach and resonate with candidates and in the community. This role will support a broader team in optimizing Swagelok’s global social media channels to help tell the brand story to all audiences. The role requires a blend of strong digital acumen, campaign planning, creativity, and analytical skills to increase and drive awareness and consideration of Swagelok as an employer of choice and deliver a best-in-class candidate experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Employer Brand Positioning:

  • ​Build and implement an employer brand strategy that connects with candidates and the community to position Swagelok as a top employer of choice.

  • ​Identify and articulate key messages that highlight Swagelok’s unique employment value proposition.

  • ​Optimize and manage day-to-day activation of our employer brand position on global social media channels

  • ​Campaign Development and Execution:

  • ​Create the strategy and execute multi-channel, digitally-focused employer brand awareness and hiring campaigns targeting core candidate audiences and the wider Northeast Ohio community.

  • ​Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including talent acquisition, corporate communications, and marketing communications, to ensure consistent brand messaging across all audiences.

  • ​Identify, negotiate, and implement community engagement sponsorship/partnership campaigns that drive awareness and build Swagelok’s local recognition.

  • ​Build and deliver targeted plans to drive awareness and consideration across priority talent pipelines, while maintaining always-on hiring message.

  • ​Leverage various platforms, including social media, digital search, online, job boards, events, and partnerships, to amplify Swagelok’s employer brand.

​Content Creation:

  • ​ Refine and optimize multi-channel social media content marketing strategy that aligns to company business goals and priorities.

  • ​Write and/or revise social media content to align with voice and tone of brand.

  • ​Ensure engaging content is available to support brand and outreach campaigns, using external partners to develop assets as needed.

  • ​Tailor brand/campaign content for different channels and demographics to maximize impact.

  • ​Manage external digital, creative, and campaign vendors and related ancillary budgets.

​Measuring and Analyzing Employer Brand Effectiveness:

  • ​Measure and report o the success of employer branding initiatives, social media activation, and overall brand health against defined key performance indicators (KPIs.)

  • ​Regularly analyze data from owned, earned, and paid channels to to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.

​Employer Brand Advocacy:

  • ​Cultivate internal brand ambassadors among employees and implement a program where they share brand stories externally.

  • ​Work collaboratively with employer brand, talent acquisition, and corporate communications teams to define employer brand advocacy and develop the necessary tools, resources, and training.

​Candidate Experience Enhancement:

  • ​Partner with the talent acquisition team to ensure that the candidate experience aligns with our employer value proposition and core values.

  • ​Identify untapped channels/audiences that are aligned with target demographics for digital recruitment marketing exploration and activation.

  • ​Influence and align shared priorities between the employer brand and talent acquisition team based on relevant insight of the labor market and organizational focus areas.

  • ​Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to deliver a best-in-class candidate experience.

  • ​Lead communications planning and delivery for talent acquisition projects and programs, to ensure business outcomes and project deliverables are met, with reach to all relevant internal and external audiences.

  • ​Drive continuous improvement of the Swagelok Careers page to provide premium candidate experience, consistently engage candidates and ultimately grow the talent pool.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in digital marketing, communications, human resources, or related field is required.

  • Minimum five years of digital/social media marketing, communications, or talent acquisition experience in a corporate environment. A background in digital recruitment marketing, social media marketing, marketing/branding, or is preferred.

  • Demonstrated competency with written and verbal communications for a range of audiences.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience building digital campaigns that target specific audience segments

  • Experience with managing and optimizing digital candidate platforms and CRMs

  • Knowledge of the talent acquisition function, including best practices for candidate experience management and current trends for recruiting top talent.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience creating and executing large-scale sponsorship activations (from strategic planning to the hand-on execution)

  • Proven ability to establish credibility as an expert capable of influencing and leading the development and implementation of communications strategies and plans.

  • Strong presentation and speaking skills.

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills with ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Ability to interface with senior and mid-level management in development of corporate and externally-facing initiatives.

  • Experience managing paid, owned, and earned media, and using data to evaluate impact.

  • Ability to organize and handle multiple projects through varying stages of development and approval, and ability to leverage data to evaluate impact.

  • Ability to problem solve and lead others toward a common goal.

  • Highly action-oriented with a strong drive for results.

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:

  • Working conditions associated with normal office environment.

  • Ability to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, telephone, copier, printer, etc.).

  • Ability to effectively communicate in both small and large groups and settings.

  • Ability to traverse between multiple locations in Ohio and Pennsylvania as needed.

  • Occasional domestic and/or international travel may be required.

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and quantitative productivity standards.

  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
